Venus Transit

Today is the Venus Transit. The first one since 2004, the last one until 2117. Yes that’s right, the next Venus Transit is 105 years away. So I had to capture it, and capture it I did.

Unfortunately, the New York City weather did not cooperate much with me, but the sun peeked out long enough for me to take just ONE snapshot of Venus crossing the sun using my Telescope and DSLR Camera. The quality is great and it makes me want to pursue Solar Astrophotography even more.

If you haven’t found it in our Gallery already, here is the link straight to it: View the Venus Transit

You can also find your way to our All Gallery page and view the Venus transit along with other pictures that I have taken.

If you’ve taken any pictures of the Venus Transit, please feel free to share!
